A PROCLAMATION.
I
N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the second section of "The
Timber-floating Act, 1884," I, William Hillier, Earl of
Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that the following stream within the colony
may be used under license for the purposes of the said Act:β
The Karamatura Stream and its tributaries, situate in the
Waitemata County.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of
Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron
Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and
of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron
Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and
Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the
Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House,
at Wellington, this twenty-third day of October,
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and ninety.

Licensing Districts altered.

A PROCLAMATION.
W
HEREAS by the sixth section of "The Licensing Act,
1881," it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon
as conveniently may be after the commencement of the
said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time
define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act,
and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries
of the same: And whereas it is expedient to alter and re-
define the boundaries of the Districts of Roslyn and Kai-
korai:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pur-
suance and exercise of the power and authority vested in
me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the
said districts, which shall henceforth be those described in
the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ROSLYN.
All that area known as the Borough of Roslyn, as described
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 9, of the 20th February,
1890.
KAIKORAI.
All that area in the Taieri County bounded towards the
north by Block X., Silverpeak Survey District, and Block III.,
North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; towards the
east generally by the Boroughs of Maori Hill, Roslyn,
Mornington, and Caversham; towards the south by the sea;
and towards the west generally by the Ridings of Otokia and
North Taieri of the said Taieri County.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

HEREAS by the ninety-seventh section of "The
Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor, by
Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown
lands within any mining district, not held under license or
lease at the date of such Proclamation, or over which the
license or lease has been cancelled, to be open for sale or
selection, in sections of such size and form, and on such
date, as he may determine; and any land so proclaimed
may hereafter be sold at a like price, and subject to the like
terms and conditions, or as near thereto as may be, as Crown
lands of the same class not within a mining district; and
the Governor may from time to time alter, amend, or revoke
any such Proclamation:
