NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the pro-
visions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same on or before the 23rd day of
February, 1891.

trict, will be treated as lost, and the production thereof for
the purpose of registering a certain dealing with the said
lease will be dispensed with, unless caveat be lodged at this
office on or before the expiration of fourteen days from the

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the
matter of the Ida Valley Deep Lead Gold-mining Com-
pany (Limited), in liquidation.
THE creditors of the above-named company are requested,
on or before the 17th day of November, 1890, to
send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their
debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their
solicitors, if any, to Edward John Tite Ford, of No. 117,
Carlyle Street, Sydenham, near Christchurch, the Official
Liquidator of the said company; and, if so required, by notice
in writing from the said Official Liquidator, are to come in
and prove their said debts or claims at the Registrar's office,
in the Supreme Courthouse, at Christchurch aforesaid, at
such time as shall be specified in such notice, or, in default
thereof, they will be excluded from the benefit of any distri-
bution made before such debts are proved.
Thursday, the 4th day of December, 1890, at 10 o'clock in
the forenoon, at the Registrar's said office, is appointed for
hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to
construct a part of the East Coast Road through
Puatai Block, Blocks III., VII., Whangara Survey District,
Cook County, and for that purpose to take, under “The
Public Works Act, 1882,” the land named in the accom-
panying Schedule.
The works to be undertaken are formation for a width
of 12ft., metalling, and construction of drains for the passage
of surface-water.
Any person who objects to this land being taken, or who
may be injuriously affected by the proposed works, must send
his objection, in writing, to the office of the Council, Gisborne,
on or before the 28th October, 1890.
Copies of the plans of the land to be taken are on view at
the office of the Council, Gisborne, during office hours.
