Sitting of Court to hear and determine upon an Application for Rehearing.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Chief Judge, sitting with an Assessor in open Court, at Whanganui, on Wednesday, the 12th day of November, 1890, will hear and determine upon the application for rehearing upon the decision of the Native Land Court mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

All persons interested in the said application are required to attend at the time and place aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Judge of the Native Land Court, with an Assessor, will sit at the Native Land Courthouse, at New Plymouth, on Monday, the 3rd day of November, 1890, to make inquiry respecting the applications of the persons named in the first column of the Schedule hereto for the removal of the restrictions on alienation of the lands named in the second column, situate in the districts named in the third column, and thereon report as he shall think fit.

Notice of Date for Rehearing of a Claim.

NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF WHANGANUI.

IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a session opened at Turakina, in the said district, on the 20th day of September, 1888, upon the hearing of an application for the partition of certain land called or known by the name of Rakautaua, situate between the Whangaehu and Turakina Rivers; and in the matter of an application made in writing, within three months after such decision was given, by Mererira Paerau, a Native, thinking herself aggrieved thereby, for a rehearing upon the aforesaid application; and in the matter of the order heretofore made by Hugh Garden Seth-Smith, Esquire, Chief Judge of the said Court, directing a rehearing therein, upon certain conditions:

Now notice is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Whanganui, for an inquiry into and determination upon rehearing of the afore-mentioned application, immediately after the sitting of the Court presently advertised to be held at New Plymouth on the 21st day of November, 1890.

Notice of Adjourned Date for Rehearing of a Claim.

NATIVE LAND COURT OF NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF WHANGANUI.

IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a session announced to be opened at New Plymouth, in the said district, on the 3rd day of November, 1887, upon the hearing of a claim to succeed to the interest of Hera Kataka in certain lands situate at Orimupiko, in the said district; and in the matter of an application made in writing, within three months after such decision was given, by Akanihi Himiona, a Native, thinking herself aggrieved thereby, for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim; and in the matter of the order heretofore made by John Edwin Macdonald, Esquire, sometime Chief Judge of the said Court, directing a rehear-

ing therein, and of a sitting of the Court held at New Plymouth on the 3rd day of September, 1887, and following days, and of an adjournment of the said rehearing then made to a future day to be hereafter fixed:

Notice is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at New Plymouth, for an inquiry into and determination upon rehearing of the afore-mentioned claim, on the 21st day of November, 1890.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications, as set out in the Schedule hereto, have been received by the Chief Judge for an inquiry, under the provisions of section 13 of "The Native Land Court Acts Amendment Act, 1889," into the matter of certain alleged errors and omissions in the decision of the Court given upon the partition of the lands mentioned below.

Notice was formerly given that an inquiry would be held into the matter of the said alleged errors and omissions, at Coromandel, on the 6th day of May, 1890. Such inquiry was adjourned to the 25th day of November, 1890. Notice is now given that such inquiry will be further adjourned to the 2nd day of December, 1890, to be held at Coromandel.

All persons interested in the said applications are required to attend at the time and place aforesaid.

  1. APPLICATION received the 15th January, 1890, made by Henare Whakarongohau and others, for a rehearing upon the decision of the Court declaring the Native owners of Paipairahi.
  2. Application received the 7th February, 1890, made by Hapimana Hikihiki, for a rehearing upon the decision of the Court declaring the Native owners of Paipairahi.
  3. Application received the 23rd December, 1889, made by Ngamanu te Wharau and others, for a rehearing upon the decision of the Court making partition of Manai'a Nos. 1 and 2.

Notice to Occupiers of Runs, Westland District.

Crown Lands Office,
Hokitika, 20th September, 1890.

IN accordance with section 188 of "The Land Act, 1885," I hereby give notice that the runs hereunder enumerated will be declared forfeited if the amount of rent due, together with the penalty for non-payment, are not paid to the Receiver of Land Revenue, Hokitika, within three months from the date of insertion of this notice: Runs No. 24, Nisson and Eggeling, Waiatoto, 15,000 acres; No. 25, Cattery and Jackson, Arawata, 14,000 acres; and No. 12, John Allen, Upper Mikonui, 3,000 acres.
