Officers appointed under “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,” for Wellington Acclimatisation District.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 9 of “The Fisheries Conservation Act, 1884,”
LAKE FALCONER AYSON, of Masterton, and
PETER SPEEDY, of Belmont,
have been appointed Officers for the purposes of that Act within the Wellington Acclimatisation District, which comprises all that area in the Provincial District of Wellington, which lies to the southward of the following boundary-line, namely, commencing from the mouth of the Manawatu River, and following the course of that river to the Manawatu Gorge; thence in a direct line from such Gorge to the mouth of the Waimata River, on the East Coast.

RESULT of poll for proposed loan of £800, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the purpose of making Saddle Road, within the Woodville Road District, County of Waipawa:—
I, Archibald McCormick, Chairman of the Woodville Road Board, do notify the result of the poll taken at Campbell’s Hall, the 11th October, 1890.
Number of ratepayers entitled to vote, 8; votes exercisable in favour of loan, 8; number of ratepayers who voted in favour of loan, 8; votes not recorded, nil; majority in favour (ratepayers), 8; majority of votes in favour, 8.
I therefore declare the proposal has been carried by a majority of voters and votes entitled to poll.

TRINITY HARBOUR.—DIRECTIONS FOR NEW CUTTING.
NOTICE is hereby given that the New Cutting into Trinity Harbour is now open for navigation. It is 200ft. wide, and is marked by six piles carrying square black beacons driven 50ft. from the edge on the eastern side of the cutting; the shoalest water in the cutting being 13ft. at low-water ordinary spring-tides. After passing through the cutting the water gradually deepens from 3 to 5 fathoms, the depth at the anchorage off the wharves.
