Rule under “The Supreme Court Act, 1882.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of September, 1890.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the thirty-first section of “The Supreme Court Act, 1882” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and with the concurrence of His Honour the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and of His Honour Mr. Justice Denniston, a Judge of the said Court, doth hereby revoke, as from the thirty-first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, the rule number two hundred and ninety-nine in the Code of Civil Procedure, printed as the Second Schedule to the said Act, and doth hereby make the following rule in lieu thereof, and doth declare that such rule shall take effect on and after the first day of November next:—
- Every judgment debt shall carry interest at the rate of six pounds per centum per annum from the time of judgment being given until the same shall be satisfied, and such interest may be levied under any writ of execution upon such judgment.

Fixing Sitting of Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of September, 1890.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Court of Appeal Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Court shall hold its sittings at such times and places as shall from time to time be fixed by the Governor in Council, and proclaimed in the Government Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Courthouse, in the City of Wellington, upon Monday, the twentieth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.
