PETANE ROAD BOARD DISTRICT.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR PUBLIC WORKS.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of Part II. of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and also of the Acts amending the same, that the Petane Road Board propose to take certain lands for the purpose of a public road, being part of the Pahou Block, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less.
Any person affected hereby is called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objection to the taking of such lands within forty days from the date of this notice, and such objections are to be sent to the Chairman of the said Board.
A plan of the land to be taken is now open for inspection on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the office of the Petane Road Board, at Eskdale.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Petane Road Board, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” to close portions of a public road through the Pahou Block, Puketapu Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County.
The portions of the road to be closed are described in the Schedule hereunder; and notice is further given that a plan of the said road is deposited at the office of the Petane Road Board, at Eskdale, in the Hawke’s Bay County, and is there open for inspection Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.: and the same are more particularly delineated on the plan, and thereon coloured green.

COMMISSIONER OF SUPREME COURT APPOINTED.

GEORGE MURE RITCHIE, of 123, St. Vincent Street, Glasgow, Scotland, Law Agent and Notary Public, has been appointed this day, by His Honour Mr. Justice Conolly, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in Scotland, under the 2nd section of “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section mentioned.
