Notice under “The Justices of the Peace Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1886.”

of Napier, will, in accordance with the provisions of section 7 of “The Justices of the Peace Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1886,” cease to be a Justice of the Peace from the 17th July instant.

Proposed Constitution of the Borough of Lower Hutt, County of Hutt.

A PETITION having been this day presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the district comprised in the Schedule hereto might be constituted a borough under “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” to be called the Borough of Lower Hutt, His Excellency directs it to be notified that, unless within two months from the date hereof a petition or petitions as provided by sections 24 or 34 of the said Act is or are presented to His Excellency, he will proceed to constitute the said borough.

THE following special order, made by the Manchester Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THAT a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound be made upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands occupied by Native owners excepted) within the boundaries of No. 5 Subdivision of the Manchester Road District, for the purpose of paying interest on a loan of £475 to be borrowed under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886;” such rate to be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and payable in one sum, at the Board’s office, on the 1st day of April in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed at a special meeting of the Manchester Road Board, held on Saturday, the 5th day of July, 1890, as required by the 76th section of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

AT an ordinary meeting of the Ashley Road Board, held the 3rd July, 1890, it was resolved, That “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” be brought into operation in the Ashley Road District, for the purpose of raising a loan of about £7,000, to be spent in extending the Ashley Traffic-bridge.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

SPECIAL order of the Whangarei County Council, dated the 18th day of April, 1890, confirmed on the 30th day of May, 1890, and sealed with the common seal of the body corporate, the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Whangarei County, the 30th day of May, 1890:—

That the present Road District of Maunu be divided, and a new road district, to be called the Road District of Raumanga, be constituted out of it, as follows:—

The Raumanga Road District.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the northernmost point of the Parish of Pukenui. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the north-eastern boundary of the Parish of Pukenui aforesaid, the northern boundaries of the Horahora No. 2 Block (No. 1083), and part of the south-western boundary of the Whangarei Town District to the Hihi River; towards the south-east generally by the Hihi River aforesaid to the south-eastern boundary-line of the Tokitaruna and Te Taroa Block (No. 193N); thence by the line aforesaid and by part of its south-western boundary to its intersection by the Hihi River aforesaid, and again by that river to its intersection by the south-eastern boundary of the Maunu No. 1A Block (No. 3743A); thence by the south-eastern boundary of that block and the south-eastern boundary of the Maunu No. 2 Block (No. 3743A) to its southernmost angle; and towards the west generally by the south-western boundary of the last-named block, the western boundaries of the Maunu No. 1A Block, the Papatawa Block, the Toutouwai No. 2 Block, the crossing of a road-line 100 links wide, and the western and northern boundaries of the Toutouwai No. 1 Block to the southern boundary of the Forest Reserve; and thence by part of the southern boundary of the aforesaid reserve and the western boundary of the Parish of Pukenui aforesaid to the commencing-point.

The Maunu Road District.—Amended Boundaries.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, commencing at the confluence of the Wairua and Mangere Rivers. Bounded towards the north by the Mangere River aforesaid and by part of the western and northern boundaries of the Parish of Kaitara to the northernmost angle of the Parish of Pukenui; towards the east generally by part of the western boundary of the Parish of Pukenui to the north-eastern angle of the Waihoanga No. 2 Block (No. 4615); thence by the northern boundary of that block and the northern boundaries of Te Hape Block and Toutouwai No. 1 Block to the north-western angle of the latter block; thence by the western boundary of the Toutouwai No. 1 Block aforesaid, the western boundaries of the Toutouwai No. 2 and the Papatawa Block, and part of the western boundary of the Maunu No. 1A Block to the north-eastern angle of the Maunu No. 1A Block; thence by the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the latter block to the Otaika River, and by that river to the north-eastern angle of Section No. 37 of the Parish of Maungatapere; thence by the eastern and part of the southern boundary of that section, the crossing of a road-line 100 links wide, and the western boundary of Section No. 81 to its south-western angle; thence by a right line to the north-western angle of Section No. 103, and by the north-western boundary of that section to the northern boundary of the Parish of Maungakaramea; towards the south by part of the northern boundary of the Parish of Maungakaramea aforesaid to its north-western angle; and thence by a right line to the confluence of the Korukoru Stream with the Wairua River aforesaid; and towards the west generally by the Wairua River aforesaid to the commencing-point.

This special order shall come into force upon the day after the same shall have been gazetted in the New Zealand Government Gazette.
