RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A PUBLIC ROAD.

IT is hereby notified that the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and its amendments, intend to take 3 acres of land out of the Maungatipona East Native Reserve, and 4 acres 3 roods 20 perches out of the Maungatipona West Native Reserve, situate within the Wangaehu Survey District, County of Rangitikei, for the purpose of constructing a road, 66ft. wide, from the Maungahoe Road to the Ohaumoko Block; and notice is further given that a plan of the said road, and of the lands so required to be taken, is deposited at the office of the Rangitikei County Council, High Street, Marton, and is there open for inspection; and notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of the said lands, shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, Marton.

THE LEADER NEWSPAPER COMPANY (LIMITED), IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the Leader Newspaper Company (Limited) will be held at the office of the Liquidator, Australian Mutual Provident Society's Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 25th day of March, 1890, at the hour of 3 o'clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up of the said company has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and for hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership formerly existing between us, the undersigned Robert Rawson, James McCutchan, and Charles Henry McCutchan the younger, carrying on business as Land and Estate Agents and Commission Agents, at Hawera, in the Provincial District of Taranaki, under the name of "Rawson and McCutchan," was dissolved by mutual consent on the 31st day of December, 1889. The said business will for the future be carried on by James McCutchan and Charles Henry McCutchan, jun., under the style or the firm of "J. McCutchan and Co.," of Hawera aforesaid, who will receive and pay all debts owing to or by the late firm of Rawson and McCutchan aforesaid.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the charge is 2s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.
