IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and fifty-four of “The Mining Act, 1886,” His Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that application has been made to him to proclaim the rivers in the Provincial District of Westland enumerated in the Schedule hereto and their tributaries to be watercourses into which tailings, mining débris, and waste water of every kind used in, upon, or discharged from any claim or licensed holding adjacent to such watercourses shall be suffered to flow or be discharged.
