Land Transfer Act Notices.

APPLICATION having been made to me to register a re-entry by the Lessor, under Lease No. 1538, over Section 854, City of Christchurch, being the land included in certificate of title, Vol. lix., folio 23, of which ALEXANDER DUNBAR is the registered Lessee, I hereby give notice that I will register such re-entry at the expiration of one calendar month from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-RACE.

Hindon, 14th May, 1890.

To the Warden at Dunedin.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point in Machine Creek, in Section 14, Block III., Mount Hyde, and terminating at machine-site, in the mining reserve, as marked on sketch.

The length of such race is 264 chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is—starting in Machine Creek, in Section 14, Block III., passing through Sections 15, 25, 27, 28, 29, and 30, terminating at machine-site, in Section 21, Block IV., as marked in the attached plan.

The mean depth of such race is 12in., and the mean breadth is 12in., and it is proposed to divert one Government-head of water.

Cost of construction, £158; time required for construction, three months.

Number and date of miner’s right: 44471, 14th May, 1890.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-RACE.

Dunstan, Roxburgh, 20th May, 1890.

To the Warden at Roxburgh.

WE hereby give notice that we intend to shift the head of the Perseverance Water-race from its present site to a point about 50 chains above the Hercules Race, to divert and use water for mining purposes, commencing at a point above stated and terminating at the applicant’s claim, Hercules Flat.

The length of such race is three and a half miles (one and a half miles in open race and one mile in pipes) or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-west through Block VI., Teviot, to where it crosses the saddle; thence to termination through Sections 3 and 2, Block VII., to applicants’ claim, Hercules Flat.

The mean depth of such race is 2ft., and the mean breadth is 3ft., and it is proposed to shift twelve Government-heads of water.

Cost of construction, £4,000; time required for construction, six months.

Number and date of miner’s right: 40999, 20th May, 1890.
