A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the forty-fourth section of “The
Sheep Act, 1878,” and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in that behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of
Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the place mentioned in
the Schedule hereto shall be a place at which sheep to be
introduced by land into the sheep districts in the said
Schedule shall be crossed over the boundaries of such dis-
tricts.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH AND KAIKOURA SHEEP DISTRICTS.
At the gate in the boundary-fence between the Flaxbourne
and Kekerangu Stations, on the Blenheim-Kaikoura main
road.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of
Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron
Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and
of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron
Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal
of the said Colony, at Auckland, this twenty-third
day of February, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Act, 1882.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seven-
teenth day of February, 1890.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882,”
it is, amongst other things, provided that the fees to
be taken and paid in respect to proceedings to which the
said Act relates, as set forth in the Third Schedule thereto,
may be fixed, varied, and abolished, as the Governor in
Council may from time to time direct and appoint: And
whereas it is expedient to vary the said fees in part as here-
inafter appears:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of all powers
and authorities in this behalf enabling him, and by and
with the advice of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby order and fix that, from and after the first
day of April next, the fees specified in the said Third
Schedule to “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882,” and
the Acts amending the same, shall be abolished, and in lieu
thereof the fees specified in the Schedule hereto shall be the
fees to be taken and paid in respect of the several proceed-
ings, matters, and things under the aforesaid Acts mentioned
and set forth in the said Schedule.

ings under “The Destitute Persons Act, 1877,” or any Act
amending the same, nor in cases of indictable offences,
whether dealt with summarily or not.
