Private Advertisements.
DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between JOHN SMITH and SAMUEL SMITH
as Merchants and General Storekeepers at Marton and
Hunterville, both in the County of Rangitikei, under the
style or firm of "John Smith and Son," was this day dis- 92
dissolved by mutual consent, as on and from the 24th day of
January, 1889.
Mr. Samuel Smith will hereafter carry on the business in
his own name, and on his own account. All debts due to
and owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the
said Samuel Smith.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between us, the undersigned EDWARD MEAD
and WILLIAM BRANSON, as Accountants and Land, Estate,
and General Commission Agents at Blenheim, under the
style or firm of "Mead and Branson," has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the 31st day of January, 1889.
All moneys due to the said firm must be paid to the said
Edward Mead, who will pay the liabilities due by the said
firm.
Dated at Blenheim, this 1st day of February, 1889.

NEW PLYMOUTH PUBLIC HALL COMPANY
(LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general
meeting of shareholders in the New Plymouth Public
Hall Company (Limited) was held at the office of the com-
pany, Devon Street, New Plymouth, on Thursday, the 31st
January, 1889, when the following extraordinary resolution
was passed, viz. :-
"That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities con-
tinue its business; that it is advisable to wind up the same;
that James Caddy Davies, of New Plymouth, Accountant, be
appointed Liquidator, and that he be authorised to convey
and assign the real property of the company and the hall
fittings, furniture, and effects to the mortgagee, for a release
of his claims and £5, computed as if at the 14th instant."

Friendly Societies' Registry Office,
Wellington, 1st February, 1889.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1882," by writing under his hand dated this
1st day of February, 1889, cancelled the registry of the Tois
Tois Lodge, No. 43, Register No. 146 (30), held at Fortrose,
branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of New
Zealand, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to
exist.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for confirming a
resolution reducing the capital of the above company
from £600,000, divided into 60,000 shares of £10 each, to
£420,000, divided into 60,000 shares of £7 each, by reducing
the liability on each share to the extent of £3, was on the
6th day of December, 1888, presented to Her Majesty's High
Court of Justice, and is now pending; and that the list of
creditors of the company is to be made out as for the 1st
day of March, 1889.

1889, on the petition of John Ross and Robert Glendinning,
both of Dunedin, Warehousemen, creditors of the said com-
pany, it was ordered that the said Bruce's Patent Oatmeal
and Milling Company (Limited) be wound up by the Court,
under the provisions of "The Companies Act, 1882;" and
it was further ordered that all subsequent proceedings in
reference to the said petition be transferred to the District
Court of Timaru and Oamaru, holden at Timaru.
