Regulations for Foreign Parcels to other Places than the United Kingdom.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Dunedin, this tenth day of December, 1889.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by "The Post Office (Foreign
Parcels) Act, 1888," and "The Post Office Act 1881 Amendment Act, 1886" (hereinafter termed "the said
Acts,") His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, did make, by Order in Council dated the twenty-seventh day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, regulations for the purposes of the parcel post between New Zealand and the
United Kingdom; and it is expedient to extend the parcel post beyond New Zealand to other countries and places than
the United Kingdom:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred by the said Acts, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby make the following regulations, that is to say,β

The several regulations made on the twenty-seventh day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
eight, under the authority of the said Acts, shall extend and apply to the several countries and places mentioned and set
forth in the Schedule hereto, and foreign parcels within the meaning of the said Acts and regulations may be forwarded
and received through or by means of the Post Office, in respect of such countries and places, on the terms, at the
rates, and subject to the conditions set out in the said Schedule. -
These regulations shall come into force on and after the second day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety, and shall be read and construed subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
