"FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT, 1882." - CANCELLING
OF REGISTRY.

Friendly Societies' Registry Office,
Wellington, 25th November, 1889.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1882," by writing under his hand dated this
25th day of November, 1889, cancelled the registry of the
Good Samaritan Tent, No. 21, Register No. 110 (1), held at
Timaru, branch of the New Zealand Central District, Inde-
pendent Order of Rechabites, on the ground that the said
branch has ceased to exist.

registered on the Imperial Register, hereby give notice that I
have, this 19th day of November, deposited my diplomas with
the Registrar of the Christchurch District; and that I shall
apply to be registered under the New Zealand Medical Act
on the 19th day of December, 1889.

I, HERBERT MCCLELLAND INGLIS, of Christchurch,
Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery of the
University of Edinburgh, registered on the Imperial Register,
hereby give notice that I have, this 21st day of November,
1889, deposited evidence of my qualifications with the
Registrar of the Christchurch District; and that I shall
apply to be registered under the New Zealand Medical Act
on the 21st day of December, 1889.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
subsisting between JOSEPH MARTIN HEYWOOD and
WILLIAM DAY, carrying on business in Christchurch and
Lyttelton under the name of "J. M. Heywood and Co.," as
Customs, Insurance, and Commission Agents, and Carriers,
has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.

The business will in future be carried on by Mr. J. M.
Heywood, on his own account, under the same name as here-
tofore. Mr. J. M. Heywood will discharge all the liabilities
and receive all the accounts of the late partnership.

NOTICE is hereby given that the office of the North Ger-
man Fire Insurance Company has been removed, in
Christchurch, to the office of Messrs. Jamison and Anderson,
Hereford Street; in Timaru, to the office of Reubin Orwin;
in Invercargill, to the office of William Batchelor, Esk Street,
where all notices may be left or where legal proceedings
may be served.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.-The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the
charge is 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
