Setting apart Land in the Marlborough Land District for
Leasing as a Small Grazing Run under "The Land
Act, 1885."

A PROCLAMATION.

By virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh
section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power
and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William
Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of
sections one hundred and ninety-eight to two hundred and
nineteen of Part VII. of "The Land Act, 1885," relating to
small grazing runs.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District,
containing by estimation 800 acres, situated in the Pelorus
Sound, Orieri Survey District. Bounded on the north by
Nydia Bay; on the east and south by Pelorus Sound,
Maori Bay, Section No. 1, Block IV., in the said survey dis-
trict, and Section No. 141, Maori Bay, Linkwater Survey
District; and on the west by a right line from the north-
west corner of said Section No. 141 to Trig. F, Orieri Survey
District.

Also all that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land
District, containing by estimation 860 acres, situated in
Crail Bay, Orieri Survey District. Bounded on the north
and west by Elie Bay and Wet Inlet to Section No. 2 of 78,
Wet Inlet, Orieri Survey District; on the south by that
section to its north-eastern corner, and thence by a right-line
to the south-western corner of Section No. 1 of 75, Elie Bay,
in the said survey district; and towards the east by the last
mentioned section and a public road to Elie Bay.

And also all that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land
District, containing by estimation 470 acres, situated in
Mahau Sound, Linkwater Survey District. Bounded towards
the north-west by Section No. 2, Ohingaroa Bay, in the said
survey district, and Mahau Sound to Section No. 1, Block
VI., in the said survey district; towards the north-east by
said Section No. 1, Block VI., and Section No. 3, Block VI., to
the summit of the range between Mahau Sound and Okiwa
Bay; towards the south-east by that summit to a wooded peak;
and towards the south-west by a right-line bearing 334Β° to
the south-western corner of said Section No. 2, Ohingaroa Bay.

As the said parcels of land are more particularly shown
on the official map in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Blenheim.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of
Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow,
of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West
Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley,
of Imbercourt Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at Christchurch, this eleventh day of
November, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Vesting a Reserve in the Town of Featherston.

ONSLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by section seventeen of "The Land Act,
1885," it is provided that the reserves to be made
for any borough or town district under such section shall
be made only in cases where no such reserves for the pur-
pose of sections three, five, and six of "The Plans of Towns
Regulation Act, 1875," exist therein, or, if existing, do not
equal or exceed the amount of reserves authorised to be made
under such last-mentioned Act:

And whereas the existing reserves for the Town of
Featherston do not equal the amount of reserves authorised
to be made under "The Plans of Towns Regulation Act,
1875," and it appears expedient to make the reserves herein-
after mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the
seventeenth section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of all
other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare
that the land enumerated in the first column of the Sche-
dule hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved for
the purpose stated opposite to the description of such land
in the second column hereto, for the benefit of the Town of
Featherston, as constituted under the provisions of "The
Town Districts Act, 1881," on the tenth day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-six.

First Column.
TOWN OF FEATHERSTON.
All that parcel of land in the Land
District of Wellington, containing by
admeasurement 2 roods, more or less,
being Section No. 42, Town of Feather-
ston. Bounded on the north by Section
No. 47; on the east by Section No. 43;
on the south by Ludlam Street; and on
the west by Renall Street: as the same
is delineated on the plan deposited in
the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wel-
lington.

Second Column.
Endowment in
aid of the Town
Board funds.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of November, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-nine.

ERRATUM.-In New Zealand Gazette No. 6, of the 27th January, 1888, page 83, the date of commission of Lieutenant
Wilson Hall, Riversdale Rifle Volunteers, should be 19th October, instead of 19th September, as therein stated.
