Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over
Land in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.
In pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl
of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule
hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land
specified under warrant of the date given in the said
Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Mangaone Survey District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 19 perches, more
or less, being a road, 100 links wide, the south-western side
of which commences at a point on the western boundary-line
of Section No. 200, Block XV., 1511 links from its south-
western corner; and proceeds thence in a south-easterly
direction to a point on the south boundary-line of the said
section and distant 1344 links from its south-west corner: as
the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
Survey Office 4341-24, deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, Wellington.
Date of warrant, 28th September, 1888.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of
Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow,
of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West
Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley,
of Imbercourt Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this twenty-fifth day of September, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-nine.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road to Ballast
Quarry at Omahu, Thames.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1882," to exe-
cute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a
road to a ballast quarry at Omahu, Thames, and for the
purposes of such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is
further given that the plans of the said road and of the
lands so required to be taken are deposited in the Post
Office at Hikutaia, and are there open for inspection. And
notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

Wellington, and thereon coloured red and green.
As witness my hand, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth
day of October, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-nine.
