acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said Crown grant on the alienation
of the said lands are hereby removed.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

HEREAS it has been made to appear that the burgess
roll of the Borough of Tauranga for the year com-
mencing on the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-nine, was prepared and completed after the times
required by "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," and it
is expedient to validate the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by
the said "Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," doth hereby
declare that the burgess roll of the said Borough of Tauranga
for the year commencing from the first day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, so made as aforesaid,
shall be as valid to all intents and purposes as though the
same had been made within the times required by the said
Act.

Validating Burgess Roll, Borough of Melrose,

mencing on the first day of June, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-nine, was prepared and completed after the

and it is expedient to validate the same:

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth

HEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Marangai Ahipane, the Native owner
of the lands described in the second column of the Schedule
hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of such
lands contained in the certificate of title, bearing date the
second day of September, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-nine, described in the first column of the said
Schedule, may be removed: And whereas it appears ex-
pedient to grant such application.:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
