HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of
the Schedule hereto was reserved for a gravel-pit:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient
to exchange the said land for that mentioned in the second
column of the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
Vesting a Reserve in the Horowhenua County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of September, 1889.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for a gravel-pit: And whereas it is
expedient that the said land should be vested in the Horo-
whenua County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in
the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Horo-
whenua County, in trust, for a gravel-pit, on condition that
the Government and local bodies have the same rights for
the removal of gravel.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington,
containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood, more or less,
being Section No. 8, Block XI., Town of Levin. Bounded
on the north-east by Sections Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7; on
the south-east by Oxford Street; on the south-west by Bath
Street; and on the north-west by Section No. 1: as the
same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the
Chief Surveyor, Wellington,
