same to be true, and by virtue of "The Justices of the
Peace Act, 1882."

THE WANGANUI HEADS RAILWAY COMPANY
(LIMITED).
N OTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 202
of "The Companies Act, 1882," a General Meeting of
the members of the above-named company will be held at
the office of Mr. J. L. Stevenson, Ridgway Street, on Satur-
day, the 2nd day of November, 1889, at 12 o'clock noon, for
the purpose of having an account laid before them showing
the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted
and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing
any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators.

A T an extraordinary meeting of the shareholders of the
Roseville Dairy Company (Limited), held at their
offices on the 29th day of July, 1889, the following resolu-
tions were passed :--
- "That, considering the financial position of the com-
pany, it is hereby resolved that the same be wound up volun-
tarily, in terms of 'The Joint-stock Companies Act, 1882,'
and the amendments thereto." - "That Messrs. J. Bolt and W. Elder be appointed
Liquidators, and that their remuneration shall be 5 per cent.
of all sums realised."
These resolutions were confirmed at a meeting held on
the 14th instant.

I, JOHN Ross, now residing in Wairoa, Hawke's Bay,
Bach. Med. and Mast. Surg. Edin., 1886, having de-
posited evidence of my qualifications with the Registrar of
Births, Marriages, and Deaths at Napier, hereby give notice
that I intend to apply to him to be registered under "The
New Zealand Medical Practitioners Act, 1869," on the 1st
October, 1889.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
NORTHERN DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and its
amendments, and of the Deep Level Cross Gold-mining
Company (Limited).
Friday, the 16th day of August, 1889.
U PON the petition of the Bank of New Zealand, a body
corporate constituted under "The New Zealand
Bank Act, 1861," and having its head office at Queen Street,
Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, a creditor of the
above-named company, on the 10th day of July, 1889, pre-
ferred unto a Judge of this honourable Court; and upon
hearing counsel for the petitioner and for the said company;
and upon reading the said petition, and affidavit of Patrick
Lynch Dignan, Manager of the said bank at Auckland afore-
said, filed with and verifying the said petition, an affidavit
of Charles Frederick Buddle, filed the 23rd day of July, 1889,
the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th day of July last, the
New Zealand Herald and Evening Star newspapers, pub-
lished in the City of Auckland on the 11th day of July last,
each containing an advertisement of the said petition, and
the affidavit of John Young, filed the 25th day of July last:
I do order that the Deep Level Cross Gold-mining Company
(Limited) be wound up by this Court, under the provisions
of "The Companies Act, 1882." And I do further order that
a copy of the said order be served upon John Young, the
Secretary of the said company, by leaving same at the
registered office thereof. And I do further order that the
costs of the petitioning creditor herein, of John Young and
George William Binney, the persons alleged to be Liquidators
of the said company, shall respectively be taxed by the
proper officer of this honourable Court, and paid out of the
assets of the said company.

THE CARISBROOK GROUND COMPANY (LIMITED).
N OTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary meet-
ing of the members of the above-named company, held
on the 16th day of August instant, an extraordinary resolu-
tion was passed to the effect that it had been proved to the
satisfaction of the company that the above-named company
could not, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business,
and that it was advisable to wind up the same; and accord-
ingly that the company be wound up voluntarily. And at the
same meeting Mr. HENRY ROSE was appointed Liquidator.

S UBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the
charge is 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.
