Application for Rehearing of Claims granted.
NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF OTAKI.
IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a
sitting announced to be opened at Otaki, in the said
district, on the 4th day of May, 1887, upon the hearing
of claims for partition by Hana Pewene and Arai te Punga
of land situate in the said district, and called Manawatu
Kukutauaki No. 4B; and in the matter of an application
made in writing, within three months after such decision
was given, by Manahi Paora and other Natives, thinking
themselves aggrieved thereby, for a rehearing upon the afore-
said claims:
I, Hugh Garden Seth Smith, Chief Judge of the said Court,
in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do
hereby order that a rehearing upon such claims be had on
the 18th day of June, 1889, at a sitting of the Court to be
then holden at Otaki, Manawatu, in the said district.

NOTICE is hereby given that it has, under section
81 of "The Native Land Court Act, 1886," been
certified to this Court that there had become owing to each

herein the sums set opposite his name in the second column,
by the Native owners of the land mentioned in the third
column, for a survey of such land made by the said Surveyor.

Court to be held at Shortland on the 5th day of June,
1889, orders will, unless cause be then shown to the Court to
the contrary, be made in favour of the said Surveyors respect-
ively, charging the estate and interest of the respective Native
owners of the said lands with the whole or such part of the
said cost of survey so made for them as the Court may deem
fit.

Ohinemutu, Rotorua, on the 26th day of June, 1889, the
Native Land Court will proceed to make inquiry into the
nature of the title to the said land, and into the nature of
any trusts affecting such title, and to make such order
thereon as may appear proper; and at such sitting all per-
sons, whether Native or European, claiming title to such
land, or to any estate therein, are hereby required to attend.
