Notification of Resignation of Seat in the House of Repre-
sentatives for Electoral District of Christchurch North.
IN compliance with the provisions of the sixty-first section
of "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1881," I hereby
notify that
The Hon. Sir JULIUS VOGEL, K.C.M.G.,
has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives for
the Electoral District of Christchurch North, and that his
letter of resignation was received by me on the 2nd day of
May, 1889, and that the said seat is vacant by reason of such
resignation.
Dated at Mount Smart, Penrose, the 2nd day of May,
1889.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Trust Commissioner will,
under the authority and for the purposes of the said
Acts, hold a Court at the Native Land Court, Whanganui,
on the 22nd day of May, 1889, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon,
for investigating the case mentioned in the Schedule here-
under, at which time and place all persons interested in the
said case, and having objections to the dealing, are hereby
notified to attend.

SCHEDULE.
89-14. TRANSFER dated 11th March, 1889, from Te Wunu
te Rangiwerohia and seven others, of the Otiti Block, situate
at Whangaehu, to James Beard, of Whangaehu, Farmer.
Application for Rehearing.
Native Land Court Office,
Whanganui, 1st May, 1889.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chief Judge, sitting
with an Assessor, will, in open Court, at Whanganui,
on the 21st day of May, 1889, hear and determine upon all
applications for rehearing upon the several decisions of the
Native Land Court mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
All persons interested in the said applications are required to
attend at the time and place aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
DECISION made the 22nd November, 1888, making division of
the land called Rakautaua.
Decision made the 4th December, 1888, making division of
the land called Ruatangata, and declaring the persons en-
titled to be ranked as owners of Ruatangata No. 1 and of
Ruatangata No. 2.
