I T is hereby notified for public information that the Com-
missioners appointed in pursuance of section 9 of "The
Land Acts Amendment Act, 1888," have reported to His
Excellency the Governor that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto have been classified by them as therein
noted.

SCHEDULE.
CLASS I.—PASTORAL LANDS, being Lands suitable exclu-
sively for Pasturage, and not capable of being used with
Profit in Areas of less than Five Thousand Acres.
RUN 1, 42,500 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north-east and east by the Rangitata River,
freehold land, and Run 3; on the south by Run 3; on the
south-west by the Orari River; and on the west by Run 2:
excepting freehold sections lying within the said boundaries.
Run 2, 58,000 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north-east by the Rangitata River; on the
east by Run 1; on the south-west by the Orari River, Phan-
tom Creek, existing fence, and a line along the top of the
range to a point opposite the division-fence between the
Mesopotamia and Richmond Runs; and on the north-west
by the Forest Creek.
Run 5, 24,200 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north by freehold land; on the east by the
Orari River and freehold land; on the south by Run 6; and
on the west by Run 6 and freehold land.
Run 6, 22,600 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north by Run 5 and freehold land; on the
east by freehold land; on the south-east by freehold land
and a line drawn from the west corner of Section 34446
to the north-west corner of Section 27542, by the Waihi
River, and Runs 7 and 8; on the south-west by Runs 8
and 14.
Run 8, 10,300 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north by Runs 6 and 7; on the north-east
by the Hae-hae-te-moana River and freehold land; on the
south-east by freehold land; on the south by Runs 9, 10,
and 11; and on the north-west by Run 14.
Run 14, 46,800 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north by Run 2 and the Phantom River;
on the east by the Orari River, freehold land, and Run 6; on
the south-east by Runs 8 and 10; and on the west by free-
hold land and the North Opuha River: excepting a piece of
land containing 530 acres between Sections Nos. 31990 and
39157.
Run 15, 44,500 acres, situated in the Geraldine County.
Bounded on the north by Run 77; on the east by the North
Opuha River and a line to the top of the saddle; on the
south-east by freehold land; on the south-west by the South
Opuha River and the western branch thereof, past a stone
hut, to the head of the north-east branch thereof; and on
the west by Runs 76 and 77.
Run 16, 32,900 acres, situated in the Mackenzie County.
Bounded on the north-east by Run 15; on the south-east by
freehold land from north corner of Section No. 32474 to
north-east corner of Section No. 33347 and a line drawn
through Trig. Z to the north-west corner of Section No.
32049, and a line in continuation of the south-west boundary
of Section No. 32047; on the south-west by Runs 75 and 76;
and on the west and north-west by Edwards Creek and the
southern branch of the same to its source and a line along
the top of the Two-thumb Range.
Run 23, 5,400 acres, situated in the Mackenzie County.
Bounded on the north by Runs 21 and 22; on the east by
freehold land; on the south-east by the Tengawai River;
and on the west by freehold land and Run 24: excepting
the purchased land within said boundaries.
Run 25, 18,500 acres, situated in the Mackenzie County.
Bounded on the north by the fence on the south side of the
Burke's Pass Road; on the east by freehold land and Run
24; on the south by Run 74; and on the west by freehold
land and Run 74.
Run 27, 9,700 acres, situated in the Mackenzie County.
Bounded on the north by Run 26; on the north-east by the
existing line of fence and a line drawn in continuation
thereof to the south-west corner of Section No. 28508, and by
freehold; on the south by Run 28; and on the west by the
Hakateramea River and Run 74.
Run 28, 15,000 acres, situated in the Mackenzie County.
Bounded on the north by Run 27; on the north-east by
freehold land; on the south by Runs 41 and 65; and on the
west by the Hakateramea River.
Run 41, 14,000 acres, situated in the Waimate County.
Bounded on the north-west by the Pareora River and Run
