CHANNEL ACROSS WIDE BAY BAR.
NOTICE is hereby given that vessels crossing Wide Bay Bar
from seaward must take the outer edge of the bar, with the
square beacons open one width to the northward. Imme-
diately the outer ridge is crossed the leading beacons are to
be brought into and kept in line until the beacons on Inskip
Point are open one width to the westward, when a vessel
may proceed as usual.

Apportionment of Education Reserves, Nelson.

PURSUANT to the seventh section of "The Education
Reserves Act, 1877," His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government directs that the following statement of
the division and apportionment of the education reserves
in the Provincial District of Nelson, made by the award of
duly-appointed Arbitrators, be gazetted, the Arbitrators
being John Wallis Barnicoat, Esq., and Alfred Greenfield,
Esq., to whom the former award, made in 1878, was remitted
for revision, in accordance with the eleventh section of "The
Education Reserves Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882."
