A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the two hundred and fortieth section
of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power and
authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, and at the request of the School
Commissioners and Education Board of the Taranaki Pro-
vincial District, in whom the land herein described is vested,
doth hereby declare that the land enumerated in the Schedule
hereto, which has been reserved for educational purposes,
shall be sold, subject to the provisions of "The Land Act,
1885," aforesaid.

TOWN OF NEW PLYMOUTH.
SECTIONS 282, 306, and 308, and parts of Sections 973, 974,
975, 976, 977, 1497, 1523, 1548, 1572, 1597, 1622, 1644, 1666,
2003, and 2019.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James
Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, the Adminis-
trator of the Government of Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of
the said Colony, at Napier, this third day of
April, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-nine.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land in Otago for Agricul-
tural Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-fifth section of "The Mining
Act, 1886," it is, amongst other things, enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause Crown lands
situate within a goldfield to be selected and set apart for the
purpose of granting agricultural leases, or for alienation
by occupation licenses on deferred payments, under any law
for the time being in force in the land district in which
such mining district is situate:
And whereas the lands described in the Second Schedule
hereto were, by the several Proclamations enumerated in
the First Schedule hereto, set apart for agricultural leases:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the said
Proclamations in so far as they relate to the lands mentioned
in the Second Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of
the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke the several Proclamations in so far as they relate to
the lands mentioned in the Second Schedule hereto.
