Land Transfer Act Notices.

NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the pro-
visions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1885," unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same on or before the 29th day of April,
1889.
1955. DAVID BRAID.--101 acres and 14 perches, part of
Country Section 25, Porirua District. In occupation of G.
G. Wilson.
Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A
ROAD IN THE OMAHA ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1882." to
execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a
road in the Omaha Road District, Parish of Pakiri, and for
the purposes of such public work the land mentioned in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is
further given that the plans of such said road and of the
land so required to be taken are deposited in the office of
the Omaha Road Board, the residence of the Chairman,
Omaha, and are there open for inspection. And notice is
hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of
the said public work or by the taking of the said land
shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the
execution of the said public work or to the taking of such
land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Omaha Road Board, Omaha.

SCHEDULE.
THE parcel of land mentioned hereunder:-
Approximate area of the land required to be taken, 1 acre
1 rood 15 perches, being portion of Section 48, situated in
the Parish of Pakiri, Omaha Road District, in the Land
District of Auckland: as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan of the land marked P.W.D. 16162,
deposited in the General Survey Office, Wellington, in the
Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

THE WELLINGTON WOOLLEN MANUFACTURING
COMPANY (LIMITED).

I, CHARLES ALFRED ST. GEORGE HICKSON, do hereby
certify that I have this day registered an order and
minute of the Supreme Court of New Zealand confirming the
reduction of the capital of the Wellington Woollen Manu-
facturing Company (Limited) from £100,000 to £93,234 8s.,
in 20,000 shares, of which eight thousand seven hundred and
twenty-four (8,724) are shares of the nominal value of five
pounds (£5) each, which have not yet been issued, and eleven
thousand two hundred and seventy-six (11,276) are shares of
the nominal value of four pounds eight shillings (£4 8s.) each,
upon each of which last-mentioned shares the sum of two
pounds and thirteen shillings (£2 13s.) has been and is to be
deemed paid up; and I further certify that all the requisi-
tions of "The Companies Act, 1882," in respect of the re-
duction of the capital of the said company have been
complied with.

TARANAKI IRON COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUI-
DATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general
meeting of shareholders in the Taranaki Iron Com-
pany (Limited) was held at the Bridge Club-room, Devon
Street, New Plymouth, on Thursday, the 7th March, 1889,
when the following special resolution was passed, viz.:-
"That the following special resolution, passed at an extra-
ordinary general meeting held on the 19th February, 1889,
viz., 'That the Taranaki Iron Company (Limited) shall be
wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. H. R. Richmond
and E. Dockrill be appointed Liquidators,' be confirmed."

Physicians, Edinburgh, Licentiate of the Royal Col-
lege of Surgeons, Edinburgh, Licentiate of the Faculty of
Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, now residing at Dunedin,
hereby give notice that it is my intention to apply to you on
the 22nd day of April, 1889, to have my name placed on the
Medical Register of the Colony of New Zealand; and that I
have deposited my evidences of qualifications for public
inspection in the office of the Registrar of Births, Deaths,
and Marriages, at Dunedin.

three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act the
charge is 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
