United M. and E. Water-race Company (Registered), do
solemnly and sincerely declare that this is a true and com-
plete statement of the affairs of the said company at the
present date; and I make this solemn declaration conscien-
tiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of "The
Justices of the Peace Act, 1882."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Naseby, 1st March, 1889.
To the Mining Registrar at Naseby.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-
race to divert and use water for domestic purposes, and
also for the purposes of wool-scouring and driving machinery,
commencing at a point in March Creek within the boundaries
of Section 67, Block IX., Strath-Taieri Survey District, and
running thence through Sections 7, 59, and 60, Block IX.
aforesaid, and terminating at a point in a branch of the
aforesaid creek within the boundaries of said Section 7.
The length of such race is 30 chains or thereabouts, the
mean depth of such race is 4ft., and the mean breadth is
4ft.; and it is proposed to divert six Government-heads of
water. An area of land equal to 5ft. in width on both sides
of the said race throughout its entire length is also applied
for for the purpose of depositing matter removed from the
said water-race. Cost of construction, £100; time required
for construction, three months.

Registrar, at the Warden's Office, at Naseby, within thirty
clear days from the date hereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has
for some time past been carried on by the under-
signed, under the firm of "E. M. Hallett and Co.," at
Auckland, in the business of Importers and Dealers in
Sewing Machines, was this day dissolved by mutual consent.
All debts owing by the said firm will be paid by the under-
signed Sidney Abraham Asher, and all debts owing to the
firm must be paid to him.
