Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over
Lands in the Wellington Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
in this behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule
hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land
specified under warrant of the date given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that road, 100 links wide, the centre of which begins
at a point marked A, near the south-east corner of Section
No. 80, Block IX., Wairarapa Survey District, and which pro-
ceeds in a north-westerly direction to a point marked B,
near the north-west corner of said section; as the same is
delineated on the plan marked S.O. 2436/3, deposited in the
office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

Date of warrant, 22nd November, 1884.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this twelfth day of October, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

Declaring a certain Road in the County of Patea to be a
County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
sixth day of February, 1889.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by. "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
order that the road in the County of Patea, described in
the Schedule below, shall, on and after the date above men-
tioned, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road situated in the Patea Extension
Township, being that part of Portland Quay lying to the
north-east of a line being the prolongation in a north-westerly
direction of the south-western side of Severn Street, together
with that portion of Dart Street which extends from a line
being the prolongation in a north-easterly direction of the
south-eastern side of Portland Quay aforesaid to the junction
of Dart Street with the Great South Road; all in the Survey
District of Carlyle, in the Provincial District of Taranaki:
as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 16142, deposited in the office of the Minister
for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District
of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth
day of February, 1889.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Pereti te Huruhuru and Rea Kahuone,
the Native owners of the land described in the second column
of the Schedule hereto, praying that the restrictions on the
alienation of such land contained in the Crown grant,
bearing date the eleventh day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, described in the first column of the
said Schedule, may be removed: And whereas it appears
expedient to grant such application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by
"The Native Land Act, 1888," and acting with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions imposed
