Description of Land.—
These lands are situated
about 10 miles west of
Churchill, on the Waikato
River. Access will be avail-
able shortly by means of a
bridle-road now in course of
construction by the Govern-
ment. The quality of the
soil is everywhere excellent,
a good deal of it being lime-
stone. Most of the sections
are covered with bush, and
are a good deal broken; but
some undulating lands, suit-
able for the plough, are found
here and there. Daily trains
from Auckland to Rangiriri,
thence by canoe 3 miles to
Churchill, and by track 10
miles to block.
