In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the
matter of the Union Steam-saw Moulding, Sash, and Door
Company (Limited).

A
T an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the company, duly convened and held at the head
office, Mechanics' Bay, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 13th day
of November, 1888, the following resolution was passed,
namely:—
“That the company be voluntarily wound up under the
provisions of 'The Companies Act, 1882.' ”
And at a second extraordinary general meeting of the
members of the said company, also duly convened and held
at the same place on Thursday, the 29th day of November,
1888, the above resolution was duly confirmed.

THE WANGANUI HEADS RAILWAY COMPANY
(LIMITED).

OTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary gene-
ral meeting of the above-named company, held at the
registered office of the said company, at the Town of Wanga-
nui, on Wednesday, the 14th day of November last, the
following extraordinary resolution was submitted for con-
sideration and passed:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meet-
ing that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities,
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the
same; and, accordingly, that the said company be wound up
voluntarily.”
And notice is hereby further given that at the said meet-
ing HENRY SERGEANT, of Wanganui, Gentleman, and JAMES
LOCKHART STEVENSON, of the same place, Merchant, were
appointed Liquidators for carrying the said resolution into
effect.

NEW ZEALAND TO WIT.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the
amendments thereof.

OTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors,
and inhabitants of the Manawatu County intend to
construct the public work hereinafter described, and for
such purpose the land comprised in the Schedule hereunder
written is required to be taken under the provisions of the
above-mentioned Act. The public work to be constructed
is the formation of about ten chains of road-work through
the land hereinafter described, to form an approach to the
Shannon Ferry, in the said county, including a cutting
through the north bank of the Manawatu River to the bed
thereof at the punt site, as now existing there.
And notice is further given that plans showing generally
the nature of the works proposed to be executed and the
land required to be taken, together with the names and
occupiers of such land as far as they can be ascertained,
have been deposited at the residence of Mr. John Carter, of
Moutoa, near the site of the proposed works, Farmer, where
the same may be inspected by all persons at all reasonable
hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said works or the
taking of the said land, having any well-grounded objections
thereto, are hereby required to set the same forth in writing,
and to send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the offices of the Chairman,
Councillors, and inhabitants of the Manawatu County,
addressed to the undersigned.
Dated the 12th day of November, 1888.

THE SCHEDULE HEREINBEFORE REFERRED TO.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing one acre one rood
and eighteen perches (1a. 1r. 18p.), more or less, situate in
the Survey District of Mount Robinson, Provincial District
of Wellington, being portion of section number eighty-nine
(89), Block XI., commencing at a point on the south-eastern
boundary of the Main Road three hundred and eighty-eight
decimal eight links from the north-east corner of eastern
boundary of section where said boundary cuts Main Road;
and bounded generally by lines running in a south-easterly
direction, six hundred and fifty-five decimal one links, one
hundred and eleven decimal eight links, and two hundred
links and thirty links respectively; then westerly by Mana-
watu River, two hundred links or thereabouts; then in a
north-westerly direction by lines, fifty links, two hundred
links, one hundred and eleven decimal eight links, and six
hundred and fifty-seven decimal five links; thence in an
easterly direction, one hundred links, to commencing-point:
be the said several admeasurements a little more or less.
