eastward by a public road; on the south-westward by a public
road; and on the north-westward by the River Wai-iti: ex-

taining by admeasurement 18 acres 1 rood 22 perches, more
or less, situate in the Lower Wanaka District, and being
Section No. 8 of Block IV. of said district. Bounded towards
the north-west by a road-line, 1749 links; towards the north-
east by the Township of Newcastle, 1672 links; towards
the south-east by a mining reserve, 326 and 450 links;
towards the south-west by Section No. 1 of same block 1000
links, also by a road-line 612 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; and intersected by a water-race reserve,

The Snares Islands, lying between 48° 10' and 47° 30' south

WESTLAND.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Westland,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, situate
in Grey Coal Reserve No. 274, being Reserve No. 286 (in
red), Block IX., Arnold Survey District. Bounded on the
north by the Arnold Road, 400 links; on the east by part of
Grey Coal Reserve, 250 links; on the south by other part of
said coal reserve, 400 links; and on the west by other part of
said coal reserve, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Hokitika. For a gravel

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Westland,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less,
situate in Grey Coal Reserve No. 274, being Reserve No.
287, Block IX., Arnold Survey District. Bounded on the
north by the Arnold Road, 250 links; on the east by other
part of Grey Coal Reserve, 600 links; on the south by other
part of said coal reserve, 250 links; on the west by other
part of said coal reserve, 600 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Hokitika. For
