No. 3354.—WILLIAM JOHN BLAKEY, of Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for Blakey’s patent spring clothes-peg.

No. 3355.—JOHN THOMAS ROUGHTON, of Manse Street, Dunedin, New Zealand, Bootmaker, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for entirely new and greatly improved methods of applying elastic webbing or other elastic material to all classes and kinds of boots and shoes, to be called “Roughton’s Patent Elastic Boots and Shoes.”

No. 3356.—CHRISTOPHER GALWEY, of Reefton, New Zealand, Civil Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for substituting wooden treenails for iron spikes in fastening the rails to sleepers, and for planking bridges.

No. 3357.—CARL HAGGENMACHER, of Buda-pest, Austria, Mill Director, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for improvements in apparatus for sifting and sorting meal, flour, and the like.

No. 3358.—JAMES OSTLER, of Lower Riccarton, Canterbury, New Zealand, Carpenter, has deposited at this office a specification of an invention for a machine for washing bottles, styled “Ostler’s Champion Bottle-washing Machine.”

And I have appointed Thursday, the 14th day of March next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the said applications and all objections thereto ; and I require all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of any such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 27th day of February next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections to any of the said applications, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.
