NOTICE is hereby given that a sitting of the Native Land Court will be held at Kapanga, Coromandel, on the 2nd day of October, 1888, for the purpose of ascertaining what amount of compensation ought to be paid to the Native owners of the land taken under an Order in Council dated the 1st day of May, 1888, for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Cuvier Island Lighthouse; and also for the purpose of ascertaining who are the proper persons entitled to receive such compensation.

Goldfields Notice.

Gold-mining Lease cancelled.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for :-

James Dallas Harper; 4 acres, Section 5, Block XIV., Mawheraiti District, Westland Mining District.
