CHRISTCHURCH GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders of the Christchurch Gold-mining Company (Limited) will be held at the Corn Exchange, Cashel Street, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 21st day of August, 1888, at 8.30 p.m.

Business: To increase the capital of the company by £10,080, in 10,080 shares of £1 each, fully paid up. Such shares to be held by the company, and applied to the purchase and acquisition of the leases and other mining rights of the Mount Harman Gold-mining Company (Limited).

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and of the Wellington Operative Boot-manufacturing Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, duly convened, was held at the Rechabite Hall, Manners Street, City of Wellington, on the 10th day of July, 1888, at 8 o’clock, p.m., when the subjoined resolutions were passed; and at a subsequent extraordinary meeting of the Shareholders of the company, duly convened and held at the same place on the 25th day of July, 1888, the said resolutions were duly confirmed:—

“That the Wellington Operative Boot-manufacturing Company (Limited) be voluntarily wound up.”

“That Charles Wood, accountant, of the City of Wellington, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the matter of the Fitzroy Harbour Timber Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the company, duly convened and held at the company’s office, at Auckland, on Tuesday, the third day of July, 1888, the following resolutions were passed, namely:—

“That the company be voluntarily wound up; and that Mr. John Mitchell McLachlan be appointed, and hereby is appointed, Liquidator.”

And at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company, also duly convened and held at the same place, on Tuesday, the 17th day of July, 1888, the above resolutions were duly confirmed.

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” and of the Kauri Timber Company (Limited), registered in Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, under “The Companies Statute, 1864.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the office or place of business of the said company in Auckland is in the Brick Buildings in Customhouse Street West, immediately opposite to the Saw-mills of the Auckland Timber Company (Limited).

TE AWAMUTU CHEESE AND BACON FACTORY COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the Shareholders of the above company, held at the registered office of the company in High Street, Te Awamutu, on Saturday, the 21st day of July, 1888, the following resolutions were unanimously confirmed:—

  1. “That the Te Awamutu Cheese and Bacon Factory Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. James Lloyd Mandeno be appointed Liquidator, at a remuneration of £10.”

  2. “That the Liquidator be instructed to dispose of the property and business of the company on such terms as may be deemed most beneficial to the interests of the Shareholders.”

THE NORTH NEW ZEALAND FARMERS’ CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION (LIMITED).

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, NORTHERN DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and of the North New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association (Limited).

BY an order made by His Honour Mr. Justice Gillies in the above matter, dated the 20th day of July, 1888, on the petition of the Waikato Coal and Shipping Company (Limited); of William Swinton Laurie and Robert Nair Ryburn, carrying on business under the style of “W. S. Laurie and Company;” of James Wingate, John Burns, and Charles Christie Brown Douglas, carrying on business under the style of “Wingate, Burns, and Company;” and of John Thomas Arundel, all being creditors of the said association, it was ordered that the voluntary winding-up of the said North New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association (Limited) be continued, but subject to the supervision of this Court; and any of the proceedings under the said voluntary winding-up may be adopted as the Judge shall think fit; and the creditors, contributories, and liquidators of the said association, and all other persons interested, are to be at liberty to apply to the Judge at Chambers as there may be occasion.
