THE CANTERBURY TRAMWAY COMPANY (LIMITED).

INCORPORATED UNDER “THE JOINT-STOCK COMPANIES ACT, 1860.”

I HEREBY give notice, in accordance with the provisions of “The Tramways Act, 1872,” that the above company intend to apply to the Government for an order—

1st. For power to build a tramway to Sumner, connecting with the terminus of the present existing Heathcote (Ferry) Road line of tramways.

2nd. The names of the various road districts or Town Boards through which the works are to be carried are—

(1.) The Woolston Town Board;

(2.) The Heathcote Road Board; and

(3.) The Sumner Town Board.

3rd. That on or before Wednesday, the 25th July next, the deposits required in accordance with subsection 2, section 7, and Part II., Schedule No. 3 of “The Tramways Act, 1872,” will be made at the following places for public inspection:—

(1.) The office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Christchurch;

(2.) The office of the Woolston Town Board;

(3.) The Heathcote Road Board Office;

(4.) The Sumner Town Board Office;

(5.) The Public Works Office, Wellington; and

(6.) The office of the Company, Cathedral Square, Christchurch.

4th. The office of the Canterbury Tramway Company (Limited), situated in Cathedral Square, in the City of Christchurch, is the place at which printed copies of the draft order when deposited, and of the order when made, will be obtainable.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR CREDITORS.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, WELLINGTON DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the matter of the United Importers Company of Wellington (Limited).

THE creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 20th day of August, 1888, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to DAVID THOMSON STUART, of Wellington, Commission Agent, the Official Liquidator of the said company; and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Official Liquidator, are, by their solicitors, to come in and prove their said debts or claims at the Registrar’s Office, in the Supreme Courthouse, at Wellington, at such time as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved. Monday, the 27th day of August, 1888, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Registrar’s said office, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the debts and claims.
