Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 29 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 400 and 401 of the Parish of Te Papa, Tauranga County. Bounded towards the north by a stream; towards the east and south-east generally by the Tauranga Harbour and a road, 475, 498, and 163 links; towards the south-west by a road, 53 and 486 links; and towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 380, 381, and 383 of the Parish of Te Papa, 1211 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For an agricultural and pastoral society’s show-ground.
All that parcel of land situate in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 260 acres 1 rood 23 perches, more or less, and being called or known as Section No. 3, Block XI., Tokatoka Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the south-western, middle, and north-eastern portions of Section No. 19, Parish of Tokatoka, 3882 links; towards the north-east by a public road-line, 7 and 1593 links; towards the east by a public road-line, 5428 links; towards the south by a public road-line, 4329 links; and towards the west by Section No. 2, Block XI. aforesaid, 5173 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. All that parcel of land situate in the Mangamuka Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, called or known as Sections Nos. 5 and 7 of the Town of Kohukohu, and containing by admeasurement 1 rood and 30 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 1 and 2 of the Town of Kohukohu aforesaid, 245 links; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 6, 8, and 10 of the said township, 207 links; towards the south by Section No. 9 of the said township, 193 links; and towards the west by a public road, 200 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school-site.
All that parcel of land situate in the Waitemata Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, called or known as Section No. 121A of the Parish of Waipareira, and containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 32 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 977 links; towards the east by Section No. 114 of the Parish of Waipareira aforesaid, 430 links; and towards the south-west by the Kaipara–Puniu Railway, 1072 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. HAWKE’S BAY.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 33 perches, more or less, being Section No. 174, Block V., Takapau Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by a public road, 1 chain wide, 912 links; on the south-east by Section No. 78, 569 links; on the south-west by Section No. 62, 919 links; and on the north-west by Section No. 173, 631 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. Bounded on the north by a public road, 1260 links; on the east by a public road, 1091 links; on the south by a public road, 708 links; and on the west by Sections Nos. 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, and by a public road, 2353 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
