that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land
in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington,
Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 16
acres 3 roods, more or less, situate in the Parish of Ma-
hurangi, in the County of Rodney, being Section No. 196 of
the said parish, and called or known as Carnell Island.
Bounded on all sides by high-water mark of the Mahurangi
Harbour. For recreation.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, called or known as Section No. 4A of Block XI., Opu-
awhanga Survey District, and containing by admeasurement
5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a
public road, 900 links; towards the east by Section No. 1 of
Block XI., Opuawhanga Survey District aforesaid, 524 links;
and towards the south and west by Section No. 4 of the same
block, 897 and 590 links respectively, to the point of com-
mencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For
a school-site.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 5,140
acres, more or less, and being called or known as Section
No. 1 of Block I., Awakino North Survey District, Provincial
District of Auckland. Bounded towards the north generally
by the Huikomako Stream; thence by lines, 28693 links;
towards the east generally by the Mangakahikatea Stream;
thence by a road-line 1057 links, the Manganui River, again
by a road-line 4344 links, the Manganui River aforesaid, and
again by a road-line 9992 links; towards the south by Sec-
tion No. 2, 31546 links; and towards the west by the sea to
the place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For primary education.
TARANAKI.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Sec-
tions Nos. 1 and 2, Tarata Village. Bounded on the north
by the Ngatimaru Terrace, 475 links; on the east by the
Junction Road, 421·2 links; on the south by Sections Nos.
3 and 4, 475 links; and on the west by the Ngatimaru Ter-
race, 421·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less;
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office
of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For a police station.
All that parcel of land in the Taranaki Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being
Sections Nos. 9, 10, 11, and 12, Tarata Village. Bounded on
the north by Sections Nos. 7 and 8, 275 and 200 links; on the
east by the Junction Road, 250 links; on the south by Amo
Street, 475 links; and on the west by the Ngatimaru Terrace
182 links, and Section No. 7 68 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth.

containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being
Section No. 19, Tarata Village. Bounded on the north by

and on the west by the Junction Road, 125 links: be all the
