WHEREAS application has been made to me to register
a discharge of Mortgage, No. 4274, by ALEXANDER
McNAB, of Bluespur, Lawrence, Miner, the Transferee from
JOHN ROUGHAN, Hotelkeeper, and JAMES JOSEPH
HARRIS, Storekeeper, both of Lawrence, the Mortgagees
thereof of Section 8, Block XLVII., Town of Lawrence, being
all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. xxxv.,
flio 221: And whereas the said certificate has been lost:
I hereby give notice that I will register the above discharge
of mortgage, and issue a provisional certificate for said land,
unless caveat be lodged at this office within fourteen days
from the date of publication hereof.

in the room of Mr. John Gould, resigned.

removed from Liverpool Street, Dunedin, to the office of
Mr. Douglas Harris Hastings, Chamber of Commerce, Lower
High Street, Dunedin.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Lone Hand Gold-mining Company as a Limited
Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies
Act, 1886.”
- The name and style of the company is to be the Lone
Hand Gold-mining Company (Limited). - The place of intended operations is at Devil’s Creek.
- The registered office of the company will be situated at
Broadway, Reefton. - The nominal capital of the company is twelve thousand
pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of ten shillings each. - The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-four

CANTERBURY DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and the Acts
amending the same, and in the matter of the Waihou
Gold-mining Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the Supreme
Court, or subject to the supervision of the Supreme Court,
was, on the 11th day of June, 1888, presented to Mr. Justice
WARD, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by CHRISTOPHER
GARSIA, of Christchurch, Gentleman (late Captain in Her
Majesty’s Army), and FRANCIS WILLIAM CHAPMAN HASLAM,
of Upper Riccarton, near Christchurch, Professor, contribu-
tories of the said company; and the said petition is directed
to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 29th day
of June, 1888, and any creditor or contributory of the said
company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the
winding-up of the said company under the above Act should
appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for
that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to
any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring
the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated
charge for the same.
