THE following by-law, made by the Panmure Road
Board, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

BY-LAW.—CATTLE DEPASTURING ON ROADS.
THE owner of any horse, ass, sheep, goat, swine, or other
beast or cattle of any kind whatsoever which, at any time
after this by-law shall come into operation, shall be found de-
pasturing in or upon any fenced or formed road, or the sides
of any ditch or bank thereof, within the limits of the
Panmure Road District, whether under the control of any
person or not, shall be liable to a fine, for each or any animal
so depasturing, of not more than 10s. Provided always that
the amount of such penalty shall not exceed the sum of £2
at any one time.
Every penalty imposed by this by-law shall and may be re-
covered in a summary manner.
I certify that the above by-law has been duly made by
special order, as required by sections 75 and 76 of "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."

THE following special order, made by the Whareama
Road Board, is published in accordance with "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Whareama Road Board, 23rd
December, 1887.
THAT a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound be now
made for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking
fund upon a loan of £800 to be borrowed under "The Govern-
ment Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," to be expended in
reforming and metalling portions of the Blairlogie Road.
Such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate, and
shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of February and
August in each year, for twenty-six years, until the loan is
paid off; and shall be levied on the rateable value of the fol-
lowing properties within the Whareama Road District: All
that part of Subdivision No. 1 lying to the eastward of Sec-
tions 629, 528, 526, and 520; the whole of Subdivision No. 2;
that portion of Subdivision No. 3 lying to the westward of
the district road, excepting Sections 892 and 893, and in-
cluding the area in Section 32 excluded from the Waironga
Trust Estate; also Sections 900, 784, 785, 776, 780, 779, part
Section 782 (500 acres), 771, and 773, in Subdivision No. 4.
I hereby certify that the above special order was passed
by the Whareama Road Board, as required by the seventy-
sixth section of "The Road Boards Act, 1882."

THE following special order, made by the Town of
Raglan Road Board, is published in accordance with
"The Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
That, for the purpose of securing payment of the sum of
£350 granted to this Board under "The Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1886," a special rate of ¾d. in the pound be levied
upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the
district, exclusive of Government and Native land. Such
special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate, and will be
payable in yearly instalments on the last Saturday of March,
1889, and thereafter on the same day in each and every year
until the debt is liquidated. And that, as per section 19 of
"The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," the first year's interest
be paid out of said loan.
I certify that the above special order was duly passed on
the date above mentioned.
