NOTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of land
hereinafter described will be brought under the pro-
visions of “The Land Transfer Act, 1885,” unless caveat be
lodged forbidding the same on or before the 11th day of
February next.

MONTAGUE MARDOC ELLIS.—23 perches, part
of Lot 8, Gibbs Town, abutting on Lots 9 and 10, and
fronting on Golden Bay 74 links. Occupied by William
Willicombe. -
ELIZABETH BETTANY.—1 rood 9 perches, part
of Section 90, City of Nelson, abutting on Section 91, and
fronting on Washington Road 60⅞ links. Occupied by
Applicant.
Diagrams may be inspected at this office.

Private Advertisement.
To James Benjamin Marlow Cruickshank or his children.
Pursuant to an order of the High Court of Justice, made in
the matter of the trusts of the will of Mary Gibson, late of
Anglesea Lodge, Alverstoke, Hants, widow, deceased (the
share of James Benjamin Marlow Cruickshank); and in
the matter of the Trustee Relief Act.
JAMES BENJAMIN MARLOW CRUICKSHANK, who,
in or about the year 1867, went to Dunedin, Otago,
New Zealand, if now living, or, if he died since the 5th
August, 1880, his legal personal representative, or, if he died
before the said 5th August, 1880, the issue (if any) of the
said James Benjamin Marlow Cruickshank living at that
date, or the legal personal representatives of such issue (if
any) as are now dead, are, by their solicitors, on or before
the 1st day of May, 1888, to come in and prove their claims
at the Chambers of Mr. Justice Chitty, at the Royal Courts
of Justice, Strand, London, in the County of Middlesex, or
in default thereof they will be peremptorily excluded from
the benefit of the said order.
Friday, the 18th day of May, 1888, at 12 o’clock at noon,
at the said Chambers, is appointed for hearing and adjudi-
cating upon the claims.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the
charge will be 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
