WHEREAS evidence of the loss of Crown grant, Vol. ii., folio 207, to ROBERT POLLOCK, for Section 543, Westport, has been lodged with me: Notice is hereby given that I will issue a provisional certificate of title to JAMES BICKERTON FISHER, the registered Proprietor of said section, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 7th day of January next.

Mining Notice.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Great Eastern Gold-mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1886.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Great Eastern Gold-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operation is on the company’s lease, situated at the Owen, in the County of Inangahua, Colony of New Zealand.

COUNTY OF BRUCE.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of section 10 of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” intend to take, for the purpose of a public road, all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 10 perches, being part of Section 41, Block VI., Waihola Survey District; commencing at District Road on the south-east boundary of said section, and extending through said section in a westerly direction a distance of 2625 links to Section 34, Block VIII., Clarendon Survey District: as the same is more particularly described on a plan deposited in the office of the Bruce County Council, at Milton.

And further notice is hereby given that all persons whomsoever having any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land for the purposes aforesaid shall set forth in writing all and any such objections, and shall send such objections in writing to the said County Council, addressed to the Chairman thereof, at the office of the Council, at Milton, within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

The plan and descriptions of the said lands so required to be taken as aforesaid are now open for inspection at the office of the Council, at Milton, during office-hours.
