ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of November, 1887.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Provincial District of Otago, and known as the Green Island Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881;” and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 372 acres 3 roods 4 perches, more or less, situate in the Dunedin and East Taieri District, and being Section No. 1, Block XIV., of said district. Bounded towards the North by a road-line 2050 links, by Green Island Bush District 1600 and 6030 links, by Section No. 2 of the said Block XIV. 1080 and 350 links, also by Green Island Bush District 2440, 2000, and 2400 links; towards the South-east by a road-line, 2830 links; towards the South by high-water mark of the ocean, 13700 links; and towards the west by the Kaikorai Stream, 2800 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of November, 1887.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred, save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons for any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be specified in such order, and that every such delegation may from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And whereas, pursuant to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the land described in the Schedule thereto is declared to be brought under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions of the said “Public Domains Act, 1881:”
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth, by this present order, delegate all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve, to
The Taieri County Council,
which shall be known as the Green Island Domain Board (herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,---

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the third Monday in each month, at four o’clock p.m., at the Taieri County Council Office, Mosgiel, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the nineteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

Further extending Time for County Elections, County of Hawera.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of November, 1887.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twentieth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, the time for holding the general election of Councillors for certain counties, including the County of Hawera, was, for reasons therein mentioned, extended to the sixteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven: And whereas the Council of the said County of Hawera are now taking the necessary action to alter the boundaries of ridings therein, and are desirous that the election of Councillors should be postponed until such alterations have been made, and it is expedient that such postponement should take place:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section three hundred and twenty-two of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby further extend the time for holding the general election of Councillors for the County of Hawera, and doth hereby order and declare that the said general election shall be held and take place on Saturday, the tenth day of December next ensuing, in lieu of Wednesday, the sixteenth day of November instant.

Terms and Conditions of Sale of Small-farm Allotments in the Benger Survey District, Otago Land District.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of November, 1887.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may fix the terms and conditions upon which the lands comprised in any village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand has, by Proclamation, set apart the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto for sale as a village settlement:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby fix the following terms and conditions upon which the said village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same, that is to say,---

The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be disposed of as small-farm allotments upon deferred payments.

The day upon which the lands shall be open for application shall be Wednesday, the twenty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, at the Land Office, Dunedin.
