A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the fourteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, in so far as it relates to the section of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto, which was, with other lands, set apart for sale on deferred payments under the provisions of section fifty-four of “The Mines Act, 1877.”

Licensing Districts defined.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the Hikurangi Licensing District, which shall, from and after the second day of January next, be those described in the First Schedule hereto; and do proclaim and define the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said second day of January next, an ordinary licensing district for the purposes of the said Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI COUNTY.
Hikurangi Licensing District.—All that area bounded towards the east by the ocean from Helena Bay to the Kowhaitahi Creek; towards the south generally by the southern boun-
dary of Horahora No. 2 Block, the southern and eastern boundaries of Waiparera Block, and the eastern and southern boundaries of Pokapu Block, the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 169, 168, and 167, Parish of Owhiwa, by Sections Nos. 181, 182, 192, 193, 204, 207, and 208, the road forming the eastern and southern boundaries of Section No. 209, said Parish of Owhiwa, by Sections Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 18, Parish of Wariara, and by Waimahanga and Wharauoa Blocks to the Whangarei Harbour, by that harbour, the Parish of Maungakaramea, and Hobson County; towards the south-west by the said Hobson County; and towards the north-west by the Bay of Islands County: exclusive of the Town District of Whangarei, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 54, of the 8th June, 1882, and the Town District of Kamo, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, of the 20th June, 1884.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI COUNTY.
Kamo Licensing District.—All that area in the County of Whangarei known as the Town District of Kamo, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 72, of the 20th June, 1884.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Mairetahi Road District, Provincial District of Auckland:
And whereas the Mairetahi Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
