Mining Notice.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register
the Dunedin No. 2 Gold-dredging Company as a
Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining
Companies Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Dunedin No. 2
    Gold-dredging Company (Limited).
  2. The place of operations is at the River Clutha, near
    Alexandra.
  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at
    Exchange Court, Princes Street, Dunedin.
  4. The nominal capital of the company is three thousand
    pounds, in three thousand shares of one pound each.
  5. The number of shares subscribed for is three thousand,
    being the entire number of shares in the company.
  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
  7. The amount already paid up is one thousand five
    hundred pounds.
  8. The name of the Manager is Andrew Hamilton.
  9. The names, addresses, and occupations of the share-
    holders, and the number of shares held by each at this date,
    are as follow:—

    Zealand intituled "The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882."

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Wai-
temata County Council, under the provisions of "The
Public Works Act, 1882," to execute a certain work, to wit,
the construction of a road in the Parish of Waipareira, County
of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken; and notice is further given that copies of plans of the
said road and of the lands so required to be taken are depo-
sited at the Post Office, Waitakerei, in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Auckland, and at the County Office, Auckland, and
are there open for inspection.

And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the
execution of the said public work or by the taking of the
said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such
writing, within forty days from the first publication of this
notice, to the Clerk of the Waitemata County Council, Pal-
merston Buildings, Auckland.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 1 rood 29·8 perches, more or less, situated in the Pro-
vincial District of Auckland aforesaid, and being part of
Allotment No 16 of the Parish of Waipareira, in the Waita-
kerei Riding, in the County of Waitemata.

NOTICE is hereby given that JAMES FOTHERINGHAM
retires from the firm of Royse, Stead, and Co., from
the 31st August, 1887; the firm, continuing under the style of
"Royse, Smith, and Co.," will pay all debts and receive all
moneys.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has
for some time past been carried on by NATHANIEL
JOHNSTON and MARK JOHNSTON, under the firm of "N. and
M. Johnston," at Hawera, in New Zealand, in the trade or
business of Brewers and Aërated-water and Cordial Manu-
facturers, was this day dissolved by mutual consent.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately
existing between us, as Hotelkeepers, at Pahiataua and
Tahoraite, under the style or firm of "Stewart and Crarer,"
has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The Tamaki
Hotel, at Tahoraite, will for the future be carried on by
Peter Crarer on his own account, who will receive and pay
all debts owing to or by the said firm in connection with the
Tamaki Hotel. The Pahiataua Hotel will in future be carried
on by William Stewart on his own account, who will receive
and pay all debts owing to or by the said firm in connection
with the Pahiataua Hotel.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the
charge will be 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o'clock of the day
preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.

No ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.

NOTICE TO AGENTS AND OTHERS.

THE edition of White's "Ancient History of the Maori,"
Vol. I., having been purchased by Messrs. Lyon and
Blair, of Lambton Quay, Wellington, all orders received from
agents for copies have been handed over to that firm for
execution. Agents and others requiring copies should in
future address their orders to Messrs. Lyon and Blair.
