Revoking the Setting-apart of Land in Otago for Agricultural Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-fifth section of “The Mining Act, 1886,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause Crown lands situate within a goldfield to be selected and set apart for the purpose of granting agricultural leases, or for alienation by occupation licenses on deferred payments, under any law for the time being in force in the land district in which such mining district is situate:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto were, by Proclamation dated the eleventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, set apart for agricultural leases:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the said Proclamation in so far as it relates to the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation of the eleventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, in so far as it relates to the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of section ninety-two of “The Public Health Act, 1876,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and notify that the Colony of Tasmania is infected with the disease called small-pox, being an infectious or contagious disease highly dangerous to the health of the people.

Delegating Powers under “The Cemeteries Act, 1885,” to the Southland County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of September, 1887.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by “The Cemeteries Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1885,” and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby delegate to the Southland County Council the powers conferred upon him by section six of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” as to the appointment and removal of Trustees for the cemetery described in the Schedule hereto, and known as the Chatton Cemetery: and doth declare that this Order in Council shall take effect as from the first day of October next.
SCHEDULE.
CHATTON CEMETERY.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 26 perches, more or less, situate in the Chatton District, and being Section No. 10 of Block X. of said district. Bounded towards the North-east by a road-line, 1432·9 links; towards the East by Section No. 9 of same block, 546 links; towards the South by Section No. 10 of same block, 1226 links; and towards the West by said Section No. 10, 1130 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Okain’s Athenæum (Incorporated).

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of September, 1887.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was reserved for a site for an athenæum: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said land in the Okain’s Athenæum (Incorporated):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve shall become vested in the Okain’s Athenæum (Incorporated), in trust, for a site for an athenæum.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing 2 acres, more or less, bounded towards the North-east by Rural Section No. 827, 460 links; towards the North-west by the road reserved along the south-eastern side of the Okain’s Creek, 640 links; towards the South-east by the road-line south-east of Reserve No. 150 (in red), 625 links; and towards the South-west by a line at right angles to the south-east boundary, 220 links.
