Licensing Districts defined.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the Mauku Licensing District, which shall, from and after the first day of February next, be those described in the First Schedule hereto; do abolish the Licensing District of Karaka; and do proclaim and define the part of the colony mentioned and described in the Second Schedule hereto to be, from and after the said first day of February next, an ordinary licensing district for the purposes of the said Act.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

MANUKAU COUNTY.

Mauku Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Mauku Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th May, 1886.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

MANUKAU COUNTY.

Pukekohe Licensing District.—Comprises all that area known as the Karaka Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th May, 1883; and also the Pukekohe West Road District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th May, 1886.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this fifteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Proclamation of the fourteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart sections of land for a village homestead special settlement on perpetual lease, shall be and the same is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the section of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto.
