Mining Notices.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Jubilee Quartz-mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1886.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Jubilee Quartz-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of operations is in the District of Ross, in the Provincial District of Westland.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated in Bold Street, in the Township of Ross, in the said District of Westland.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is fifteen thousand pounds, divided into thirty thousand shares of ten shillings each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-nine thousand three hundred, being not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Charles Marius Nielson, of Bold Street, in Ross aforesaid, Commission Agent.

  9. The names, addresses, and occupations of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow:—

I, John Ponsonby, of Bluespur, Legal Manager of the Waipori Water-race Company (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare that this is a true and complete statement of the affairs of the said company at the present date (30th June, 1887); and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

Private Advertisements.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and of the Auckland Tobacco Company (Limited).

At a general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, situate in Queen Street, in the City of Auckland, on Thursday, the 20th day of May, 1886, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed: “That, as the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue business, it is advisable to wind up the same, and that Messrs. Barstow and Heather be appointed Liquidators.”

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Badische Schiffahrts Assecuranz Gesellschaft, otherwise the Baden Marine Insurance Company (Limited), having its head office at Mannheim, Germany, proposes to carry on business in Otago, in the Colony of New Zealand, and that its office or place of business in Otago will be situate in the Exchange Buildings, Liverpool Street, Dunedin.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.

The subscription is at the rate of 30s. per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the charge will be 2s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.

NOTICE TO AGENTS AND OTHERS.

THE edition of White's “Ancient History of the Maori,” Vol. I., having been purchased by Messrs. Lyon and Blair, of Lambton Quay, Wellington, all orders received from agents for copies have been handed over to that firm for execution. Agents and others requiring copies should in future address their orders to Messrs. Lyon and Blair.
