A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time
to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such
blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set
the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such
Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open
for application; and that he may also in like manner set
apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allot-
ments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and
may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any
such Proclamation:

And whereas the Land Board of Wellington has passed
a resolution recommending that the land described in the
Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on
deferred payments:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale
on deferred payments; and that Tuesday, the twentieth
day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
seven, shall be the day on which the said land shall
be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and
marked on the selection map in the principal land office of
the district.

And, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth section
of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price at which
the land so described shall be sold to be the price stated in
the Schedule hereto.
