THE following special order, made by the Rodney County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT the county be redivided into ridings as follows:—

| Albert Riding .. | Albertland North, Albertland South, and Wharehine Road Districts. |
| Tauhoa Riding .. | Tauhoa and Komokoriki Road Districts. |
| Puhoi Riding .. | Puhoi Road District. |

Special Order made by Manawatu County Council.—Altering Boundaries of Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Manawatu County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER. Confirmed 14th July, 1887.
THAT the Ridings of Oroua and Kawakawa as at present constituted be abolished, and that the following new ridings be constituted, viz.: The boundaries of the Sandon Riding to be the same as the gazetted boundaries of Nos. 1 and 3 Wards of the Sandon and Carnarvon Highway District; that the boundaries of Mount Stewart Riding be coterminous with those of No. 2 Ward; that the boundaries of Waitohi Riding be the same as those of No. 4 Ward; that the boundaries of Campbell Riding be the same as those of No. 5 Ward; that the boundaries of Carnarvon Riding be the same as No. 6 Ward, except on the south, which shall be the northern boundary of Awahou Riding to the railway-line; that the boundaries of the Kawakawa Riding be coterminous with the boundaries of No. 7 Ward, except towards the south, which shall be the northern boundary of Awahou Riding from the Manawatu River to the railway-line: and that each of the above-named new ridings shall have one Councillor, and that the Awahou Riding as at present constituted have two Councillors; and that this resolution take effect from the 31st day of July, 1887.
This special order has been duly made.

POLL taken on Monday, the 11th July, on a Proposal to borrow £600 for Formation and Drain on No. 1 Line, Kai-ranga.
Number of ratepayers entitled to vote, 11; number of votes that could be exercised, 17.

Ratepayers who did not vote .. — 4
Majority in favour .. .. 3

As at the above-mentioned poll a majority in number of the ratepayers entitled to vote have voted in favour of the proposal, and were entitled to more than half the number of votes that could be exercised, I hereby declare the proposal carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Spring Grove Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

Notice of Proposed Loan.—Parts of the Spring Grove and Stoke Road Districts constituted a Special District, described as the Roding District.—Proposal to raise a Loan of £450 from Government for building a Bridge across the Wairoa River in the above-named District.
I HEREBY notify that a poll was taken on Thursday, the 30th June, 1887. The votes recorded were as follows:—
For the proposal .. .. 10
Against the proposal .. .. Nil.
Total number of votes on roll, 10.
A majority in number of the ratepayers of the above district having recorded their votes in favour of the proposal, I hereby declare the resolution in favour of the proposal duly carried.
