Defining Limits of Port of Thames.

IN pursuance of the power and authority in me vested by
the ninth section of "The Harbours Act, 1878," I,
William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby define the limits of the
Port of Thames to be as follow: To seaward an arc of a circle
of five nautic miles radius from Opani Point, and shall
include the navigable portions of the Thames (or Waihou),
the Ohinemuri, the Piako, and the Waitoa Rivers, and their
affluents, as far as such affluents are navigable; the ter-
mination of the navigable portion of the Thames (or Waihou)
River being bounded by a line drawn in a south-west direc-
tion in continuation of the boundary between Sections five
and five (a), Gordon Special Settlement, Piako Survey Dis-
trict; that of the Ohinemuri River being bounded by a line
drawn due west from the northernmost corner of Section
five thousand and eight, Block thirteen, Ohinemuri Survey
District; that of the Piako River being bounded by a line
drawn at right angles across the river at a point thirty
chains below the northernmost side of the Morrisville-Te
Aroha Road, where it crosses the Piako River; and that of
the Waitoa River being bounded by a line drawn at right
angles with the river at a point forty chains below the
junction of the Piraunui Stream with the Waitoa River.
All former limits of the port are hereby annulled.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eighteenth day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-seven.

land, Taranaki, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson, and
Southland.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh
section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the
said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land
in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington,
Marlborough, Nelson, and Southland, described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 2 roods 29 perches, more or less, and being called or
known as Allotments Nos. 81, 150, and 149 of the Town of
Te Awamutu, Puniu Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland. Bounded towards the North-east by Allotment
No. 80, 250 links; towards the South-east by Roache Street,
89, 100, and 265 links respectively; and towards the West by
Bank Street, 291, 98, 15, and 89 links respectively: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. For a recreation-ground.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 5 acres more or less, and being called or known as
Section No. 1, Block III., Hokianga Survey District, Pro-
vincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North-
east by the Whakatahataha Block, 788 links; towards the
South by the aforesaid block, 911 links; towards the West by
the aforesaid block, 500 links; and towards the North-west
by the aforesaid block, 691 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. As a site for a Native burial-place.

All that piece or parcel of land being situate in the Cam-
bride Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and
being called or known as Section No. 23A, Parish of Puke-
kura, and containing by admeasurement 11 acres, more or
less. Bounded towards the North generally by a stream;
towards the East by Section No. 21 of parish aforesaid, 410
links; towards the South by a public road-line, 100 links
wide, 1285 links; and towards the West by Section No. 23 of
parish aforesaid, 1200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For a gravel reserve.

All that piece or parcel of land being situate in the Ota-
matea Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and
being called or known as the south-western portion of Section
No. 119, Parish of Oruawhara, and containing by admeasure-
ment 5 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by
the middle portion of Section No. 119 of parish aforesaid, 800
links; towards the East by the south-eastern portion of
Section No. 119 of parish aforesaid, 620 links; towards the
South by a public road-line, 100 links wide, 500 and 317 links;
and towards the West by the eastern portion of Section No.
120 of parish aforesaid, 640 links: be all the aforesaid link-
ages more or less. For a site for a cemetery.

TARANAKI.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Taranaki Land
District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 30
perches, more or less, being Section No. 58, Block VI., Huiroa
Survey District. Bounded on the North by the Tariki
Road, 607.5 links; on the North-east by the Ratapiko Road,
517 links; on the South by Section No. 36, 991 links; and on
the West by Section No. 30, 257 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth.
For a school-site.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Taranaki Land
District, containing by admeasurement 71 acres, more or
less, being Section No. 38, Block VI., Huiroa Survey District.
Bounded on the North by Section No. 37, 4546 links; on the
East by the Ratapiko Road, 1770 links; on the South by
Section No. 39, 4467 links; and on the West by Sections Nos.
32 and 31, 1566 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the
office of the Chief Surveyor, New Plymouth. For primary
education.

WELLINGTON.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 19 acres 3 roods 36
perches, more or less, being Section No. 44, Block XVIII.,
Mangahao Survey District. Bounded on the North by
Section No. 42, 2037 links; on the East by Sections Nos. 43
and 46, 980 links; on the South by Section No. 45, 2039
links; and on the West by a public road, 980 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wel-
ington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 19 acres 3 roods 28
perches, more or less, being Section No. 60, Block XVIII.,
Mangahao Survey District. Bounded on the North-east by
Section No. 59, 1581 links; on the South-east by a public
road, 1519 links; on the South-west by Section No. 55, 958
links; and on the West by Section No. 54, 1532 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated
on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less,
being Section No. 4, Block XVIII., Mangahao Survey Dis-
trict. Bounded on the North-east by a public road, 400
links; on the South-east by Section No. 16, 1250 links; on
the South-west by Section No. 8, 400 links; and on the
North-west by Section No. 3, 1250 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 9
perches, more or less, being Section No. 17, Block XVIII.,
Mangahao Survey District. Bounded on the North-east by
a public road, 628 links; on the East by a public road, 527
links; on the South-west by Section No. 18, 795 links; and
on the North-west by Section No. 57, 500 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wel-
ington. For a gravel reserve.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more
or less, being Section No. 57, Block XVIII., Mangahao
Survey District. Bounded on the North-east by a public
road, 350 links; on the South-east by Section No. 17, 500
links; on the South-west by Section No. 18, 350 links; and
on the North-west by Section No. 16, 500 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wel-
ington. For a gravel reserve.

MARLBOROUGH.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Marlborough Land
District, containing by admeasurement 16 acres, more or less,
being Section No. 2, Block XII., Gore Survey District.
Bounded on the North by Crown land, 1550 links; on the
East by a public road; on the South by Section No. 1, Block
XII., in the said district, 1480 links; and on the West by
Crown land, 1060 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
