Arrangements for First Elections, &c., North Amuri Rabbit District.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Tuesday, the 19th day of July, 1887, to be the time, and the Courthouse, Waiau, to be the place, for holding the first election of five Trustees of the North Amuri Rabbit District, as constituted under “The Rabbit Nuisance Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1886;” also to appoint Tuesday, the 2nd day of August, 1887, at three o’clock p.m., to be the time, and the Courthouse, Waiau, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Trustees of the said district shall be held.

As at each of the above polls a majority in number of the ratepayers entitled to vote have voted in favour of the several proposals, and were entitled to more than half the number of votes that could be exercised, I therefore declare each and all of the proposals carried.
